Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira West Constituency, Benjamin Ayeh, says he is not surprised about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) opposition to the compilation of a new voters register.
According to Mr Ayeh, the NDC has always been against new ideas, making him believe that the alternative [to the NPP] was empty.
Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam Monday, Mr Ayeh said members of the NDC were only embarking on a pretence game with their stance on the register.

“Even people who had nothing to do with our election knew about the fact that we were calling for a register so why must the NDC pretend as though they knew nothing about it,” he quizzed.
Mr Benjamin Ayeh also questioned why the NDC brought the nation to a standstill because of the voters’ register.
To him, if the EC is calling for a new register, it is because there’s something wrong with it.
