Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has responded to the party’s decision to give him a media blackout.

NDC’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyemfi has said Mr. Allotey Jacobs does not speak for the party anymore.

Any representation he does on radio or television is in his personal capacity.

In a riposte, Mr. Allotey Jacobs on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday said the NDC has misfired.

He explained that, “I have never been part of NDC communication for a long time” so the media ban is an exercise in futility.

The former NDC Central Regional chairman revealed that, the party has been fighting him for his style of communication because he does not engage in vile propaganda.

“My party has been fighting me for my style of communication [because] when it is white, I will say white not red” he opined.

Allotey Jacobs said he is not perturbed about the supposed ban since he is now a social commentator.

“I don’t invite myself so if the production team of a media house invites me, I will speak. In fact, my of the media houses wants me as a panel members but I don’t have time” he bragged.

Allotey Jacobs commended the media for not allowing the NDC dictate to them.
