Ghana’s Tema-based rapper, Yaa Pono, says no musician can match him in terms of the number of shows played in the year 2017.
The ‘Fake’ hitmaker, in an interview on Accra-based 3 Radio, said he was booked for almost 300 shows last year and that obviously makes him stand out.

Yaa Pono also shared his thoughts on the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), saying that he’s not bothered by the fact that he was not nominated under the VGMA “best rapper” category.
According to him, the situation will rather challenge him to push harder and come out with songs that Ghanaians will embrace.

Yaa Pono believes that his ‘Faster Than Gods’  album will win ‘Best Album of the Year’ together with the ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ next year.
