Actress and social commentator Lydia Forson has expressed sympathy for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a series of tweets, Lydia questioned the decision by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect Dr. Bawumia as flagbearer, despite being paid to do nothing.

The actress could not fathom the inconsistencies in Dr. Bawumia’s position about government policies.

In her view, the Vice President has been reduced to a “toothless bulldog” by the party’s PR team.

Rather than blame the entire government for what she said is failure to effectively steer the affairs of the country, Lydia said President Akufo-Addo has been made to take the fall to pave way for Dr. Bawumia ahead of the December 7 general elections.
