A 34-year old man, Oscar Osei Owusu has been stabbed to death by an unknown military man at Kasoa in the Central Region.
Brother of the deceased who disclosed this to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem” on Monday said Oscar was murdered by the soldier following a heated argument between him and the unidentified military man on Friday night.
According to him, on Friday during the celebrations of the Eid-ul-AD ah festival, four men in military uniform approached and searched the deceased and his friends who were having fun in the Kasoa vicinity after which they demanded for his mobile phone.
The refusal by the deceased, to hand over his mobile phone to the military personnel, his brother said resulted in serious verbal exchanges.
One of the soldiers having lost his temper stabbed Osei Owusu who unfortunately died on the spot.
“My big brother Nana Yaw Owusu was called by his Muslim friends this salah to come and eat with them at Kasoa high tension, so he dressed up and left the house to go and eat with his friends.
“They were all eating by the roadside when they were approached by 4 guys in military uniform saying they want to search them all and they allowed them to do their work, after searching them, nothing was found on them and one of the soldiers asked my brother to give him his phone and brother refused to give it to him.
“The soldier wanted to take his mobile phone but my brother resisted which got the soldier angry and he stabbed him to death” he cried.
However, Kofi Adjei reported that the youth in the area arrested the suspect and was sent to the Kasoa police who have commenced investigations into the matter.
