Controversial Ghanaian counsellor, Rev George Lutterodt, has said that women anxious for relationships or lifetime partners are now primary targets of mobile money fraudsters in the country.
He revealed this on Adom FM’s anti-corruption segment, “Fabewoso” on Monday.
His comment comes after popular Kumawood star, Vivian Jill Lawrence cautioned her colleague actresses and the general public to stay vigilant after she was duped by some mobile money fraudsters.

The actress, together with Maame Serwaa and Salinko became victims after a mobile money scammer duped them of GHc800.
It is in response to fraudulent trend that Counsellor Lutterodt cautioned women desperate for lovers to be careful of strangers who propose love to them via social media and other online portals.
He maintained that, “the fraudsters target women looking for marriage and most of them (the women) want people to come and marry them from abroad. They [scammers] usually chat with foreign numbers on Whatsapp as though they aren’t in Ghana…” he disclosed.

Nonetheless, the controversial counsellor pleaded with Telcos in the country to assist the police to investigate and locate such criminals without delay.
“It will not stop it. It is difficult to arrest the people. if you go to MTN to help you arrest the people you will never find them. It should not be so…” he stressed.
