Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has hailed the professional conduct of the past Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye.
According to him, COP Kofi Boakye is a ‘tough’ police chief who will never associate himself with land guards and other criminals.

“Senior police officers are not helping matters at all; they contribute to crime in the country. The only person I will defend any time on this landguard issue is Kofi Boakye. I know he won’t compromise himself or condone such an illegality unlike the other senior police officers” he said on Accra-based Net 2 TV.

Commissioner of Police, Kofi Boakye became famous for his efforts in maintaining public peace and security in the Ashanti Region.
He discharges his duties without fear or favour. He arrested the former Local Government Minister and Kumasi Mayor, Maxwell Kofi Jumah in 2014, a decision only few police officers could take.

Former Director General of Police Criminal Investigations, COP Bright Oduro, blamed the law maker for peddling falsehood about him.
The former CID boss described an order asking him to proceed on leave in October last year as surprising and based on “complete misinformation and peddling of falsehood against him.”
Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has vowed to expose top police officers with links with land guards in the country.
