Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has stated unequivocally that the Kwesi Botchwey report under ‘lock and key’ has been standardized as NDC’s laboratory report after their massive defeat in the 2016 December Polls.
According to him, the report will reveal their weaknesses to grant them a comeback in the 2020 polls.
This he said is a complete assurance media reports detailing the cause of NDC’s 2016 defeat with regards to the Kwesi Botchwey report is fake.
“The Kwesi Botchwey report making rounds in the media is fake. The report contains strategic points which will help us to bounce back and since the media is not reporting on that why you do expect me to believe that fake report.
“The report is our lab results and so there is no need to reveal it to the public the same way a patient won’t reveal her lab results to the public and so Ghanaians should get it” he stressed.
Among other things, the leaked report described former president John Mahama as behaving like a “movie star” and also said the presence of former Communications Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and presidential staffer Stan Dogbe around the president, made Mr Mahama “naked”.
Excerpts of the leaked report also said out of 200 cars reserved for media personnel by the presidency, only 4 were given out.
But Koku Anyidoho, speaking on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Thursday said the investigative team submitted only one copy of the final report to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the party hence media reports should be ignored.
He pointed out that, the NPP is using these tactics to divert attention from the hardships Ghanaians are facing in the country.
On the way forward, Koku Anyidoho disclosed the executives of the party will heed to the recommendations in the Kwesi Botchwey report.
