President Akufo-Addo told journalists at the encounter that every single act of alleged corruption labelled against some members of his administration have been or are in the process of being investigated by independent bodies, and the findings so far made public.
But the NDC General Secretary believes the President’s comment undermines the work of a Parliamentary Committee set up to investigate what has become known as the “Cash-for-Seat scandal”.

“President Akufo Addo was just under pressure to organize the press encounter; here is a committee handling these corruption issues. I expect the President to allow the committee to do its work but his response rather undermines the work of the committee.”  He said on Accra-based Neat FM.
General Mosquito, as he is affectionately called believes the President touted numerous policies introduced by his government during the encounter but his communication handlers have failed to disseminate same to the public.

“I think his media and communication handlers have done him a great disservice because this media encounter was not planned well. He was forced by his people to just make comments without giving any convincing answers,” he said.
