Former Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak, Muheeb Saeed, has said supporters of the club are to blame for the dwindling fortunes of the club.
Accra Heart of Oaks defeat to their fierce rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup final has drawn a lot of criticisms from staunch members of the club and the public at large.
Muheeb who was once the mouth piece of the club believes that the supporters need to change their attitude and stop being too content.
“The main problem with Hearts of Oak supporters is that they are too complacent. When you visit the various Hearts of Oak social media platforms, the kind of euphoria over there doesn’t match with the fortunes of the club on the field at all”, he stated in an interview on the Ultimate Sports Show on Asempa FM.
“I don’t know the kind of standards they are using to measure the club for them to think that Accra Hearts of Oak is doing something better”.
“Since the fans are comfortable with the kind of things happening in the club, it will be difficult to try and change things”.
Muheeb’s claim adds up to the number of people who have been criticizing the club after their abysmal performance against the Porcupine Warriors in the MTN FA Cup final.
