The Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed, has extended her condolences to former National Chairman of the party, Peter Mac Manu, following the death of his wife.
Although details surrounding the death remain unclear, Hajia Safia paid a condolence visit to Mr Mac Manu on Thursday, July 30, 2026, to express her support and sympathies during the difficult period.
She offered words of comfort to the former NPP chairman and his family, while mourning the loss of his wife.
Hajia Safia, during the visit, described the late Mrs. Mac Manu as a devoted wife, a loving mother and a steadfast pillar whose unwavering support contributed immensely to her husband’s political journey and years of dedicated service to the NPP.
She noted that beyond her role within the family, the deceased was a source of strength and encouragement to the former National Chairman throughout his leadership and public service.

Hajia Safia acknowledged that the loss is not only a painful moment for the Mac Manu family but also a great loss to the NPP fraternity, where the late Mrs. Mac Manu was admired for her quiet support and commitment.
She prayed for God’s comfort and strength for Mr. Mac Manu, his children, and the entire bereaved family as they mourn their beloved wife and mother.
“May the Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest,” she prayed.
The passing of Mrs. Mac Manu has drawn an outpouring of sympathy from political leaders, party faithful, and well-wishers, with many paying tribute to her life of service, sacrifice and support for her family and community.
