Liberty Professionals have stunned West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at the Sogakope Park in the match-day six fixtures of Ghana Premier League on Friday afternoon.

The Scientific Soccer Lads went into the match on the back of a 2-1 defeat from their last encounter with Hearts of Oak at the Carl Reindorf Park.

Attacker Elvis Kyei Baffour stepped up and scored from 12 yards after the visitors had been awarded a penalty kick.

In the second half, the Academy Boys upped their game and scored through Samson Agyapong to draw level.

However, it was not enough as Liberty Professionals scored again courtesy a strike from Alhassan Mubarak on the 79th minute to end the game 2:1.

This is the second win for the Scientific lads after they fought back to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 3:2 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in the match-day four fixtures.
