Ghana will face either Togo or Libya in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Black Meteors were drawn against the winner of the first-round tie between Togo and Libya, with the two sides scheduled to meet in September.
The first-leg matches of the opening round will be played on 20 September, while the return fixtures are set for 6 October.
Ghana’s second-round tie will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for 9 November and the return leg on 17 November.
The Black Meteors must overcome the winner of the Togo-Libya tie to advance to the next stage and maintain their hopes of qualifying for the 2027 U-23 AFCON.
Other notable second-round ties include Nigeria against Mauritania or DR Congo, Senegal against Djibouti or South Sudan, Morocco against Ethiopia or Uganda, Cameroon against Rwanda or Sudan, and South Africa against Comoros or Madagascar.
Egypt will host the 2027 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the men’s football competition at the 2028 Olympic Games.
The second-round fixtures are scheduled for November, with the first legs on 9 November and the return matches on 17 November.
