Some irate New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth groups in the Agona-West constituency of the Central Region have threatened to invoke curses on their Member of Parliament (MP) Cynthia Morrison, if she backs one Mr Koomson to win the Municipal Chief Executive position.
According to them, they will call over 3000 gods residing in the Agona land to curse her if she allows President Akufo-Addo to appoint one Mr Koomson whom they describe as a foreigner as the MCE.
“If she wants to go and support him then she should be ready not to stand for any post again. If she does, what will happen must happen. We will treat her the same way we treats cats. We will pour libations to call about 3000 gods to curse her from being an MP is she supports Mr Koomson.
They added that, “We don’t know him. He should go and do his work wherever he came from. We have our hands down.” They said during a press conference Thursday.
Spokesperson of the group, Patrick Quainoo alleged that, Mrs Cynthia Morrison has bribed the acting General Secretary of NPP. John Boadu and the Central Region Chairman to appoint Mr Koomson as MCE.
“John Boadu took 1 billion old cedis to endorse Mr Koomson as MCE for Agona West constituency. We challenged them to come out if they have not taken money from Cynthia Morrison…” they added.
