Ghana moved one place up in December’s edition of the FIFA Ranking to end the year in the 50th position.
Despite any major game, the Black Stars were able to earn more points to move up on the chart.
Previously occupying the 51st position, Ghana is only behind African neighbours, Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal Burkina Faso, DR Congo, Egypt and Tunisia.
The former Africa Champions are still ranked eighth on the continent.
Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Belgium were unmoved as they still occupy the top five positions in the World.
Senegal still remains the top ranked African side in the World having kept their 23rd position.
The likes of Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Cameroon were all unmoved from their previous positions.
DR Congo however dropped three places down on the globe to 39.
