Football Administrator, Takyi Arhin has lambasted the Ghana Football Association saying the summit which they held in Cape Coast last month was nothing but an avenue for the officials to “wine and dine”.
The 3-day summit which began on 27th November ,2017 under the theme, ‘Ghana Football: Stronger Partnerships for a Brighter Future’ saw a host of stakeholders both in and out of the FA who were present to explore the challenges faced by the game in recent times and how these could be solved.
At the end of the summit, the GFA resolved to restructure its various competitions management bodies, including the Premier League Board, which is expected to be overhauled.
Mr. Nyantakyi also addressed the media where he said a team of experts will be engaged to form a new board for the league, which will meet periodically.
Amidst all these measures put in place by the FA, the seasoned Soccer Administrator on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show insisted that the summit was just a waste of time.
“The Football Governing Body sent five persons to South Africa to see how their league is being run and managed but when they returned with the report, the GFA made no good use it”.
“This FA summit was much I do about nothing. No good thing will come out from it”.
“It was just an avenue for the FA officials to eat and wine”.
The outcome of the three-day brainstorming initiative led by the President Kwesi Nyantakyi will be put forward to Congress for consideration to improve the game ahead of the start of the next football season.
