The Ghana football Association (GFA) after holding a three days summit in Cape Coast has resolved to expand its executive committee to include a woman who will solely be in charge of women football.
The football Association from Monday assembled major football stake holders to take stock of their activities so far and also make concrete decisions for the future.
Addressing the press after the summit, President of the Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi  underscored the need to expand the current 23 members on the executive to have another woman on board to make it 24.
The woman, he said will be in charge of women football to help curtail the many problems the women game face.
“We will expand the executive committee of the Association to include another woman. This is not to undermine the presence of Linear Addy who is already a member but this is all ways to strength the women’s game”, Nyantakyi proposed.
This summit was held ahead of the Association’s annual general congress to usher in the 2017/2018 league season.
