Former Amenfi Central MP Peter Kwakye Ackah has announced the sudden death of his younger brother, Nana Kwadwo Atobrah, describing the family as devastated by the loss.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr Kwakye Ackah said he had spoken to his brother on Friday, only to receive the heartbreaking news of his death the following morning.
He said he initially struggled to believe the news and even asked relatives to check his brother’s pulse before accepting that he had died.
“He died last Saturday, and I had spoken to him on Friday. So when they called on Saturday morning that he had passed, I didn’t believe it and asked that they check his pulse.”
Mr Kwakye Ackah said he was in Tarkwa at the time and immediately travelled to their hometown, where he confirmed that his younger brother had indeed passed away.
He described Nana Kwadwo Atobrah as a much-loved member of the family, particularly to their mother.
Mr Kwakye Ackah said the family has scheduled the one-week observation for October 9, 2026, with further funeral arrangements to be announced later.
