Aduana Football Club has announced the passing of its former Chief Executive Officer, Edward Asare, describing him as a key figure in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the club expressed profound sadness over his death and paid tribute to his contribution to Aduana’s growth and success.
“Mr. Asare will forever hold a special place in the history of our great club, having served as Chief Executive Officer during one of our most memorable periods,” the statement said.
The club noted that under his leadership, Aduana won their maiden Ghana Premier League title in 2010, a historic achievement that remains one of the club’s defining moments.
Beyond the trophy success, the statement praised Mr. Asare’s dedication, leadership and commitment, saying his efforts left a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.
On behalf of its Board of Directors, management, players, technical team, staff and supporters, Aduana FC extended its deepest condolences to Mr. Asare’s family, loved ones and the entire Aduana fraternity.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you find strength and comfort in the memories you shared with him and may his soul rest in perfect peace,” the club said.
Aduana FC concluded its tribute with the words: “Forever remembered. Forever appreciated. Rest well, Mr. Edward Asare.”
