Gospel musician Florence Obinim has dismissed widespread claims that she underwent plastic surgery, insisting her recent physical transformation is the result of intense fasting and prayer undertaken to support her husband’s ministry.
Speaking publicly, Mrs Obinim stated that her face is natural and that she has never gone under the knife.
She explained that her noticeable weight loss followed prolonged periods of fasting and prayer, which she embarked on to seek divine intervention for the revival and growth of her husband’s church.
According to her, the spiritual exercise had nothing to do with physical appearance but was a personal sacrifice made during a difficult period to help her husband’s ministry flourish again.
Her remarks come on the back of comments by Apostle Daniel Obinim, founder of the International God’s Way Church, who also addressed the issue in church.
The preacher admitted that he had gone astray in the past, noting that the criticism and challenges he faced publicly played a significant role in shaping him into a better person.
Apostle Obinim further stated that his wife equally needed public scrutiny to renew her mind and make changes in certain aspects of her lifestyle. He urged the public not to blame him or their marriage for what many have described as the shocking transformation of his wife.
He added that criticism can serve as a tool for growth and maintained that neither he nor their marriage should be held responsible for Florence Obinim’s recent changes.
