Head Coach of Black Princesses, Yusif Basigi has lauded his side for   displaying a five star performance against the Harambee Starlets of Kenya at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium last Saturday.
The Black Princesses walloped their Kenyan counterparts 5-0 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup Qualifiers. Four goals from Priscilla Adobea and a goal from Helena Obeng put the Princesses in a good position to make it to the next stage of the competition.
Coach Basigi stated that he was impressed by the performance displayed by his charges; however, they will not underestimate their opponent in the 2nd leg encounter.
“The girls played very well, I wasn’t surprised by their performance because we worked very hard towards this victory”, he told Asempa Sports Monday.
“Going to Kenya, I need to respect them again because they didn’t give us an easy game at all”.
“We won’t underestimate them in our next encounter, because I know the Kenyans have something in them. Even though we defeated them 5-0, we won’t go their backyard unprepared”, he added.
The national female under -20 team will make it to Kenya in a fortnight for the 2nd leg encounter.
