First Vice Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Fredrick Fredua Anto popularly called has issued a stern warning to ministers appointed by President Akufo-Addo specifically on how they talk.
Some Ministers of the State have been accused of assuming arrogant posture in their language contrary to their humble posture during the electioneering season.
“NDC lost the election because of pride so if you are lucky to be appointed minister and you are now claiming to be too busy to talk to Ghanaians; you will be removed like the NDC” He warned.
F.F Anto’s warning comes on the back of the video of Deputy Trade Minister Robert Ahomka-Lindsey whose presentation at the Diasporian Conference has gone viral for his complaint against whining from business people.
Another example is the Tourism minister who was heard speaking with Joy FM’s Joseph Opoku Gakpo in a way people have described as a rather arrogant tone.
Gender Minister Otiko Afisah Dzaba has also come under fire for her utterances during the brawl between her and the NPP’s Northern Regional Chairman.
According to him Ghanaian voters vote such leaders out.
“Ghanaians don’t just vote, so keep on being proud and you will suffer the consequence.” He said
Meanwhile Communication Expert Dr. Etsey Sikanku says some of the current ministers are treading on the path of their predecessors who were accused of speaking arrogantly and subsequently causing the party’s defeat.
“It has been established that the previous that Ghanaians were unhappy about the way officials in the previous administration interacted so this administration must take steps to avoid the same pitfalls.”
“So far Ghanaians have had course to complain about the communication of some officials from this administration and whether it is justifiable or not it is rather generating discourse that is not helping policy making or development.” He lamented.
FF Anto added that public officials must be patient and cultivate a big heart to stomach some of the provocations that may come with their positions.

  1. If u are a Minister and don’t have patience, then please resign. Arrogant talks should not be tolerated. After all, nobody forced u to be a Minister. U lobbied ur way to be a Minister. If u are fed up, my friend just quit than letting ur arrogance paint NPP black to Ghanaians. Some statements and postures of some of these ministers is annoying and irritating to us, that I must state.
