Kwabena Agbale, 43, a farmer on Monday appeared before a Ho High Court for allegedly stabbing his sister to death with a knife.

Mr Simon Adatsi, the State Attorney, told the court that the complainant, Semanu James, a resident of Asimekofe, near Juapong was also the head of the Agbale Family and the accused was the elder brother of the deceased.

The State Attorney told the court that on December 29, 2013 at about 0930 hours, the complainant had a report that the deceased prepared food (banku) and refused to serve the accused.

The court heard that the complainant summoned the two in the presence of some family members and the matter was resolved amicably.

Mr Adatsi said at about 1400 hours, the same day, the complainant was informed of a renewed misunderstanding, which sparked a fight during which the accused stabbed the deceased three times until she fell down.

He said the complainant rushed to the scene and found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

The court was told that the accused was arrested by neighbours with the knife and sent to the police.

Mr Adatsi said the body of the deceased was conveyed to the Akuse Government Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
