Former Ghana U20 midfielder, Godfred Donsah, is dissatisfied with the  performance he displayed in Ghana’s final World Cup qualification match played against Egypt last Sunday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars ended their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign without a home win as they drew 1-1 with already qualified Egypt in Group E match.
The Bologna midfielder earned two call-ups during Avram Grant’s tenure but could not join his teammates because of injuries, but coach Kwesi Appiah gave him another opportunity to prove himself to Ghanaians.
However, after Ghana’s patchy draw against Egypt on Sunday, the 20 year old lauded the team’s performance but added that his performance was below average
“The team did well but personally I couldn’t bring out the best of me. I think it’s a great opportunity the coach gave me but I couldn’t maximize it to the fullest like I have been doing at club level”, he told Joy Sports.
“However, I would like to thank the people of Cape Coast for their support we really appreciate them. It’s my first time playing in this stadium and I really enjoyed it”.
Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal and Nigeria will be representing the continent at the 2018 World  Cup which will be staged in Russia.
