The host of Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show, Captain Smart, has condemned the action of the minority in parliament for carrying placards with the inscription, ‘Bloody Widow” in an apparent reference to the new member of parliament, Lydia Alhassan.

In videos that went viral on social media, some Minority MPs were seen shouting shame and jeering as the Speaker of Parliament read the Electoral Commission’s verdict of the elections on the floor.

Speaking on the Dwaso Nsem segment, Fabewoso, Captain Smart expressed his disappointment at the Minority, describing their actions as “unconstitutional”.

“I don’t have any problem with the walkout from the chamber but the bloody widow placard is far below the belt of parliament. I will plead with someone to be bold enough and apologise to the woman for me,” he appealed.

Captain Smart also expressed his unhappiness with the violence that characterised the Ayawaso West Wuogon elections.

“What went on in Ayawaso is disgusting, annoying, unconstitutional, and not correct and not something I am happy with but at the centre of it all, I see a woman and that makes me keep calm on commenting on the issue,” he said.
