Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has urged his players to remain focused and cautious ahead of their FA Cup final showdown against Nations FC.
The “Still Believe” lads are set to take on the Abrankese-based side on Sunday, May 31, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in a highly anticipated final that carries continental stakes.
Despite Nations FC suffering relegation from the Ghana Premier League following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Dormon insists his team cannot afford to underestimate their opponents, highlighting the impressive journey they have enjoyed in this season’s FA Cup competition.
Speaking to the club’s media team, the Dreams FC trainer said preparations have been progressing steadily but warned that the final demands total concentration and respect for the opposition.
“We are concentrating on our preparations coming into the game,” he said.
“Yes, Nations FC have been relegated, but as far as the FA Cup competition is concerned, they have told an impressive story…so Dreams FC need to approach this game very cautiously,” Dormon added.
The final is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Beyond the trophy, the encounter carries added significance, with the winner earning the right to represent Ghana in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
