Former Ghana international, John Paintsil, has broken the silence on his resignation from South African side, Kaizer Chiefs also known as Amakhosi.

Touching on circumstances surrounding  his departure from the club,John said “To be honest with you,I never felt welcomed by the club and  one thing I witnessed was that ,its very difficult to work with that side if you are not a former player from Kaiser Chiefs” .
“Even though I tried so hard to focus on my work ,it became a lot more frustrating as time went on”.
“The media also said a lot of things about me that wasn’t true ,so I spoke to the head coach who was like a dad to me.
So he spoke to those in charge of the club and we reached a mutual agreement which I believe was for the better”.
The experienced defender played in two FIFA World Cup finals and featured for West Ham United, Charlton Athletic, Fulham and Leicester City.
