Ghanaian musician Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster, broke down in tears upon his arrival at the Kotoka International Airport after returning from the United States, where the first phase of his late wife, actress Beverly Afaglo’s funeral rites was held.
An emotional video circulating on social media captured the former Praye lead singer struggling to hold back tears as he arrived in Ghana ahead of the final funeral rites for his wife.
Choirmaster was warmly welcomed by close friends and colleagues, including fellow Praye Tietia and musician D-Cryme, who were at the airport to receive and console him during the emotional homecoming.
The musician was also greeted by two young girls who offered him words of encouragement as he embraced family members and friends waiting at the arrival terminal.
Beverly Afaglo, a celebrated Ghanaian actress and media personality, died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Her passing sent shockwaves through Ghana’s entertainment industry, with colleagues, fans and well-wishers paying tribute to her contribution to film and television.
