Energy Minister, Dr Mathew Opoku-Prempeh

The Ministry of Education has distanced itself from the activities of purported ambassadors of the free Senior High School (SHS), who are visiting various second cycle institutions to campaign for the government.

In a viral video on social media, a young man in a blue Lacoste with free SHS Ambassador embossed on it was heard talking to students of a yet to be identified SHS about the policy and the need to show appreciation to the government for the intervention.

But, in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Ekow Vincent Assafuah, the Ministry said it had taken notice of the viral video and the statement of the National Democratic Congress on the issue.
