The Omanhene of Edina Traditional Area has surprised his subjects and festival attendees with an energetic display of dance moves during the 2026 Edina Bakatue Festival.
Standing majestically in a palanquin, the traditional ruler showed off his dancing skills to a low-tempo song by Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, earning cheers and admiration from the crowd.
The unexpected performance saw the Omanhene move with confidence and rhythm as he embraced the music, creating one of the memorable moments from the colourful celebration.

The display, which quickly caught attention online, has been described by many as a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary Ghanaian entertainment.
Amid chants from his subjects, the Omanhene, popularly celebrated for his connection with his people, proved that even royalty can join in the excitement and celebration of culture through music and dance.
