The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has reported a significant increase in revenue following the expansion of its operations since 2025.

According to the Authority, improvements in service delivery, digitisation, and compliance systems have driven stronger financial performance across its offices nationwide.

A major highlight of this growth was recorded in the first quarter of 2026 (January to March), when the DVLA posted a 67 percent increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2025.

Officials say the development reflects the impact of ongoing reforms within the institution.

In a statement, the Authority attributed the growth to its operational expansion and improved efficiency in service delivery.

“The significant increase in revenue reflects the impact of our reforms, digital transformation initiatives, and enhanced customer compliance systems,” the DVLA said.

The Authority also reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the momentum through continuous innovation and enforcement.

“We remain focused on building a modern, efficient, and transparent licensing system that meets the needs of the public while strengthening revenue performance for national development,” the statement added.
