Dreams FC will meet Nations FC in the final of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup after both sides emerged victorious from their semifinal ties at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
Nations FC booked their historic first appearance in the FA Cup final with a narrow 1-0 win over Aduana FC on Friday, April 17. Emmanuel Annor struck early, netting the decisive goal in just the eighth minute to seal a memorable result for the Abrankese-based side.
On Saturday, Dreams FC edged out Medeama SC in a thrilling 3-2 encounter to secure their place in the final. Kelvin Ahiable opened the scoring in the 23rd minute before Suraj Seidu doubled the advantage 12 minutes later.
Medeama fought back before halftime, with Prince Owusu pulling a goal back in stoppage time to reduce the deficit to 2-1. The second half began with renewed intensity, and Medeama drew level just three minutes after the restart through Richard Appiah.
However, experienced striker John Antwi proved decisive, restoring Dreams FC’s lead in the 58th minute with what turned out to be the winning goal.
Dreams FC, champions of the 2022/23 edition, will now face Nations FC in what promises to be a keenly contested final. The Ghana Football Association is yet to announce the date and venue for the showdown.
