On Wednesday, 1st July 2026, Dr. Divine Kabutey Agyemang-Lardey visited several communities in the Ada West District that have been severely affected by the recent floods to assess the extent of the devastation and interact with affected residents.

Following the visit, Dr. Divine expressed deep concern over the level of destruction, the displacement of families, and the hardships being endured by many households.

He has therefore appealed to the Government of Ghana to ensure that all deserving communities are included in the distribution of relief items and any financial support earmarked for flood victims. Specifically, he called for the inclusion of the following communities:
Luhuor
Salom
Bonikope
Segese
Wokumagbe
Akplabanya
Anyamam
Kportitsekope
Kablevu

Dr. Divine emphasized that the suffering of affected residents should not be overlooked and urged authorities to ensure that relief efforts are fair, timely, and reach every community in need.

Doc as he is called by many also appealed to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), corporate institutions, faith-based organizations, philanthropists, and individuals to extend support to the affected communities through donations of food, clothing, medicines, bedding, and other essential relief items.

“This is a time for compassion and solidarity. Together, we can help our brothers and sisters recover from this unfortunate disaster. No affected community should be left behind.”

Dr. Divine assured residents that he would continue to advocate for their welfare and work with all stakeholders to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most.
