Ghanaian music duo DopeNation has announced plans to support families affected by the recent floods in parts of Accra.

In a statement shared on social media, the duo said they intend to donate GH¢1,000 each to a number of flood victims and affected families using proceeds from their Europe tour.

The musicians acknowledged that the gesture would not replace lives lost or property destroyed but expressed hope that it would provide some relief to those impacted by the disaster.

“Dear friends,
The floods in our homes, resulting in the loss of life and valuable property, are not just here to break us but to remind us of how strong we should be as one people with love. We intend to give GH¢1,000 each to a number of victims and families affected in some parts of Accra from our Europe tour proceeds. This won’t solve the problem, neither will it bring back the lives and property, but it will at least ease some tension among us.
With love,
DopeNation

Kakalikaa.”
