Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, known in showbiz as Obrafour has rubbished rumours that he has been smoking cannabis.
The musician speaking on Kasahari Level with Pope Skinny on Adom FM said most Ghanaians associate him with drugs because of his dreadlocks.
But this perception, he said is wrong as according to him, he has never used drugs in his life.
“I don’t smoke wee. I do not smoke and I have never used the marijuana drug in my life. Not for any purpose at all…” he revealed.
The ‘Ntetee Pa’ hit maker further said there is no religious connotation with regards to why he kept dreadlocks.
Obrafour also indicated his readiness to shave off the dreadlocks when called into the pastoral ministry.
“It is the music industry that made me keep the locks. But if the music isn’t with me anymore and God calls me to take it off, I will. I don’t have any religious reason with regards to my hair. I am not a Rastafarian…” he said.
