New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team member Dennis Edward Aboagye, popularly known as “Miracles,” has pledged to overhaul the party’s communications strategy and help position it for victory in the 2028 general elections if elected Director of Communications.
Mr Aboagye made the commitment after filing his nomination to contest the position, saying his long experience in the party had equipped him to lead its communications machinery at a critical time.
He believes the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) could become complacent because of its current electoral position, creating an opportunity for the NPP to regain public support.
“That complacency is what we need. We are going to take advantage of it,” he said.
Mr Aboagye said the NPP under his leadership would adopt a more strategic and proactive approach to political communication, ensuring that the party plays a stronger role in shaping national conversations.
“We are going to command the narratives,” he declared.
He further promised to ensure that the NPP’s message reaches voters through all relevant communication channels and platforms.
According to him, the party must be present and effective across every space where political discussions and public opinion are shaped.
“Most importantly, we are going to do what we are going to do to command every space,” he said.
Mr Aboagye also highlighted his long-standing commitment to the NPP, saying he has dedicated about 23 years of his life to serving the party.
“For 23 years of my very young age, all I have done is to serve this party,” he said.
He said his leadership style would be based on confidence, respect and passion, rather than needless confrontation.
“We are going to do it with a lot of respect. We are going to do it with confidence,” he added.
Mr Aboagye expressed confidence that his years of service and experience in political communication would enable him to lead the NPP’s communications team effectively as the party works to rebuild its grassroots support and prepare for the 2028 elections.
