Municipal Chief Executive for Nkwanta South, John Thasun, says he is unable to sleep due to bad roads in his Municipality.

According to him, almost all the roads in the Municipality are in a bad state, making lives difficult for the people, a situation becomes worse when it rains.

John Thasun told Adom News that they are not able to go to most of their major revenue collection points for revenue because of the deplorable states of the road.

He said it is his wish that all roads in the Municipality will be constructed before his term of office elapsed.

Some residents also told Adom News that most of their farm produce have been left to rot in their farms due to bad roads because vendors no longer come to buy as they go through hectic time coming to the area.

Lack of potable water

Mr Thasun also lamented over inadequate access to clean water in the area.

According to him, the situation has compelled a lot of people to drink water with animals as others travel a long distance to look for water, a situation he describes as very worrying.

He says even though the Municipal has drilled some boreholes for some communities, some are still facing challenges due to insufficient budget.
