The Black Queens of Ghana will continue their preparations for the 2026 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a second international friendly against Tanzania on Monday, July 20, in Casablanca, Morocco.
The match, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m. local time, forms part of the team’s final phase of preparations ahead of the continental showpiece.
After completing an initial warm-up fixture against Ivory Coast, the Black Queens will be looking to build momentum, fine-tune their tactics, and further improve team chemistry against their East African opponents.
The friendly also provides the head coach and his technical staff with another opportunity to assess the squad, test different combinations, and ensure the players are in optimal condition before the tournament gets underway.
The Black Queens are currently holding a training camp in Morocco as they intensify preparations for WAFCON, which is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
Ghana has been drawn in a challenging Group C alongside Cape Verde, Mali, and Cameroon, with the Black Queens aiming to make a strong impression on their return to Africa’s premier women’s football competition.
