FC Samartex 1996 have officially appointed Nana Kweku Agyemang as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Timber Club confirmed the appointment as preparations intensify for the new season, with Agyemang taking over from Christopher Ennin, who departed the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 football season.
Kweku Agyemang joins Samartex from fellow Ghana Premier League side Vision FC, where he earned widespread recognition for his tactical acumen, player development, and ability to inspire teams both on and off the pitch.
The experienced trainer arrives with an impressive reputation after masterminding Vision FC’s remarkable turnaround last season.
Following a difficult start to the campaign, Kweku Agyemang steadied the ship and successfully guided the club to safety, ensuring they retained their Premier League status.
His appointment signals Samartex’s ambition to build a competitive side capable of challenging in the top flight after parting ways with Ennin at the end of last season.
Known for his detailed tactical approach and emphasis on discipline and player improvement, Kweku Agyemang is expected to bring a fresh philosophy to the former league champions as they prepare for another demanding campaign.
