The Minister for Sports and Recreation has commended Black Stars goalkeeper and Hearts of Oak captain Benjamin Asare for his remarkable journey and contribution to Ghana football.
The Minister made the remarks when he received Asare at the Ministry, where he praised the goalkeeper’s self-belief, discipline and consistency.
According to him, Asare’s journey demonstrates the importance of patience and confidence in one’s abilities, particularly when opportunities arise.
He said Asare remained patient, trusted his ability and seized the opportunity to represent Ghana with confidence and composure.
The Minister also welcomed Asare’s acknowledgement of the support and belief Ghanaians have shown him throughout his journey, stressing the importance of the connection between athletes and the people they represent.
He encouraged the Hearts of Oak captain to remain humble, disciplined and focused on his continued development.
“There is still much ahead of him, and with the same commitment, he can continue to make himself, his club and Ghana proud,” the Minister said.
He urged Asare to keep working hard as he continues his football journey.
“Keep working, Benjamin. The journey continues,” he added.
