Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, popularly known as Strika, who featured in the Hollywood film Beasts of No Nation, has reportedly been apprehended by residents at Kwashieman in Accra over an alleged attempt to remove metal components from a public footbridge.
Reports indicate that some residents confronted the actor after allegedly finding him dismantling parts of the footbridge, with claims that the materials were intended to be sold as scrap.
A police officer is said to have arrived at the scene and accompanied Strika for further investigations.
The incident has attracted attention on social media, particularly because of the actor’s widely reported struggles since gaining prominence through his role in the 2015 war drama.
However, the allegations have not been independently established, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
