Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah, has named a 21-man squad for the AFCON 2019 qualifier against Kenya next month.

The list excludes the Star’s captain, Asamoah Gyan, as well as the Ayew brothers who have been out of his squad since the World Cup qualifier draw against Congo in Kumasi.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah makes a return to the Black Stars.

The former Juventus playmaker makes a return to the team after a long absence.

Belgium-based striker William Opoku of Antwerp is the only new addition to the squad as Emmanuel Boateng of Levante misses out through injury.

The Black Stars team will commence camping in Adis Ababa, Ethiopia from the 3rd to the 7th of September, 2018.

Ghana faces Kenya in Nairobi on the 8th of September, 2018.
