A taxi driver has been allegedly killed by car snatchers at Gomoa Kweikrom in the Gomoa East District in the Central region.

In an interview with Adom News, the Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, ACP David Agyeman said their night patrol team saw a taxi with blood all over it so his men decided to stop the driver for interrogation.

He said the police personnel discovered that, the driver was one of the suspect who had killed the owner of the car.

“Upon interrogation they confessed to killing the taxi driver who refused to hand over his car keys” he stated.

ACP Agyeman added that, the suspect directed them to where they dumped the body of the driver.

He added that, the young man who claimed to be 30 years is in custody of the Kasoa Divisional police assisting with police arrest his accomplices.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased yet to be identified have been moved from Gomoa Kweikrom and deposited at Police Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
