Deputy communications director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal Deen Abdulai has strongly defended government’s decision to borrow.

He says the NPP will not resort to reckless borrowing like the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, government has been compelled to borrow more in order to defray the debt the erstwhile Mahama government left behind.

He said, in opposition, the NPP made it look like borrowing was evil, and that they could administer the country without borrowing money.
