The decision, the EC explained, is to ensure only eligible voters cast their ballot to reduce electoral fraud.

But Mr Nketia on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday said “no verification no vote is against human right.”

He explained that, no system used for election since 1992 has been sacrosanct, thus, the policy won’t be the panacea of electoral fraud.

The best option, the NDC scribe said, is the use of manual verification which he claimed has proven to be the best.

“You move from one point to a better one; you don’t move from a better to a worse one.  Manual verification is so far the best,” he said.

General Mosquito, as he is popularly called, said it is obvious the EC is confused because “it seems they have found a solution and are looking for a problem to solve.”
