Nine persons have been killed in road accident at Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region.
The Police Motor Transport and Traffic Department says the Sprinter Bus on which some mourners were traveling bust a tyre after running into a pothole.
Corporal Kojo Boakye an officer with the MTTD in Berekum confirmed this to Adom News.
He indicated that the deceased were returning from a funeral in Sunyani when the incident.
Corporal Boakye who is the investigator on that accident said the driver of the Sprinter bus survived with minor injuries.
Other occupants who also sustained injuries are receiving treatment at the Holy Family hospital.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased has been deposited at the Sunyani Regional hospital morgue
