First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu announced this on the floor of the House when leadership of the Minority denied knowledge of the conduct.

The NDC MPs while walking out during the swearing in of Madam Alhassan held placards saying ‘bloody widow’ as a reference to the violence that characterized last Thursday’s by-election.

They claimed Madam Alhassan benefited from the bloodshed during the by-election which left 16 people injured at La Bawaleshie with some masked men assaulting Ningo Prampram MP, Sam George.

But Hon Osei Owusu directed staff of Parliament to look for the footage and fish out the MPs who brandished the placard.

However, Deputy Minority Leader, James Klutse Avedzi said the Speaker’s demand cannot be met since the action of the Minority  was neither an affront to the MP or Parliament.
