Newly elected National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye is set to resign from his position as the Deputy Executive Director of National Service Scheme in charge of Operations.

He told Nhyira FM’s Kofi Asante Ennin, he is in consultation with the President and the result will be for him to resign.

Henry Nana Boakye has won the National Youth Organiser position of the NPP.

He beat other contestants Kamal-Deen Abdulai, Emmanuel Nana Bediako D. Appiah and Dominic Kwesi Eduah.

Nana B polled 423 votes as against Kamal-Deen’s 102 votes, Emmanuel Nana Bediako D. Appiah’s one vote and Dominic Kwesi Eduah’s 246 votes.

And, Nana Boakye who is the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat says the Youth Organizer position will require maximum attention hence the decision to opt for out of the NSS.

“I have decided to resign from my position as the executive of NSS because I don’t want it to interfere with my new role. I am in consultation with President Akufo-Addo and I know the result will be for me to resign”, he said.
