President Akufo-Addo has announced consultations are under way with Zongo communities across the country to map out strategies to ensure development of those areas.

The Zongo Development Ministry is embarking on the project in fulfillment of the New Patrioctic Party (NPP) government’s campaign promise to fix Zongos.

Addressing Muslims after the Eid Ul-Fitr prayers at the Independence Square, President Akufo-Addo said government is keen on ensuring Zongo communities are better places to live.

“We have set aside GHC 219 million as seed money for the establishment of the Zongo Development Fund” he noted.

President Akufo-Addo also disclosed that government is yet to enact the Zongo Development Fund law to ensure the money to use judiciously.

He encourage people living in the zongos and inner cities to contribute ideas for their development.

“It is time we brought prosperity to all parts of our country” President Akufo-Addo stressed.

  1. Akufo Addo, you stood before in parliament and told Ghanaians Mahama administration have steal all the country money, so where did you get 21 9 billion dollars from and you are going to develop zongos communities across the country.? You see how liar you are.
