Midfielder Ashittey Ollenu has left Kumasi Asante Kotoko after just one season with the Porcupine Warriors.
Ollenu, 24, signed a two-year deal with Kotoko at the start of last season after impressing on trials with the Kumasi-based side.
But after a bright start to life in Kumasi, a combination of injuries and unfortunate incidences reduced the former Hearts of Oak man into a peripheral figure.
He broke a rib when Kotoko were involved in a fatal accident half way into last season and did not play for the Warriors since.
He was excluded from the club’s 26-man squad for the CAF Confederation Cup campaign this season, spelling the end for the former phobian.
